Trip 7 July 11 Glen Onoko to Weissport Options

The Beginner's Series will put in at Glen Onoko and Paddle to Weissport.

The trip is class II+.

We will meet at 11 a.m. at the private boater's put-in at the Glen Onoko Access of Lehigh Gorge State park.

Directions from the Jim Thorpe Train Station:
Continue on Rt 209S (which is actually going north in this section.)
Go about a quarter mile, turn right and go over the bridge.
Bear left and go to the STOP sign. Continue straight.
Follow the winding road about a mile.
Take left at Glen Onoko entrance sign on left.
Go about 2 miles until you cross a bridge over the Lehigh River.
Go through the parking lot and continue around a circle until you reach the restrooms.
Next to the restrooms is a ramp leading down to the private boater's put-in.

As always: boat, paddle, helmet, PFD, sprayskirt, whistle are required.
Paddlers should have a wet exit and prior experience in the class or a similar class.
