Join us for our first meeting of the 2018 paddling season. Tom Storm, kayak guide and trainer from JTRA has some great ideas for us as we approach the 2018 paddling year. Hear is what tom has to say about his up coming talk:
“Has someone ever described a river to you, which in hindsight, was blown well out of proportion? Both overstatement and understatement can affect how we experience our time on the water. Although we may have different motives for pursuing the sport we love; recognizing our fears, trusting our skills, and understanding the role of on-water challenges and fiascos can maximize our paddling experiences. Join Tom for an evening of engaging conversation that spotlights how to turn our passion for the sport toward a higher competency and begin see the water more clearly. “
Tom Storm’s home river is the Lehigh. Currently a lead kayak instructor for Northeast Pa Kayak School, JTRA river guide ,
and professional photographer, Tom enjoys getting out on the water as much as possible throughout the year.
There will be a business meeting of the Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe following a short refreshment break. All are welcome!
