Advanced Intermediate whitewater kayak skills class on the Tohickon Creek

The LVKCC will have an intermediate whitewater class on the Tohickon Creek on Sunday March 19, 2023. In addition to the usual stuff, we will work on harder lines, boofing, and using river features and our edges to make harder moves. The water will be cold, so dry gear is a must. Bring water and snacks, but we will not be stopping for lunch (you can eat at the takeout). A second run is possible. This is not a first timer’s trip, you either have to be familiar with this creek or paddled similarly difficult water (Class III+) in the past year. Whitewater gear is a must. A reliable combat roll is highly recommended. Instructors reserve the right to turn away anyone unprepared or insufficiently skilled for this class. Be at the putin parking lot at 930am ready to shuttle. This event is free and open to all members of the LVKCC in good standing. Membership forms will be available at the putin. You will be expected to sign a liability waiver at the putin.
