Fall Paddle Kingwood to Bull’s Island Delaware River
Join the Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe Club for an early fall paddle on the Delaware River from Kingwood to Bull’s Island Recreational Area in NJ. We will meet at the Kingwood boat access to set up the shuttle to Bull’s Island. This is an eight mile trip for recreational kayaks and canoes. There are a couple of easy rapids on this trip, so you should feel comfortable in easy white water situations. You should also have a wet exit. That is you must have experience falling out of your kayak and getting back in on the river.
This is and early fall trip so the water can be on the cool side. Please do not wear cotton clothing! A spare fleece top in a dry bag would be a good idea. No open toed shoes or flip flops.
You will need your own equipment: boat, paddle, PFD with whistle. You must wear a PFD (life jacket) at all times on the water! Bring a snack and water.
This trip is for members of the Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe only. Not a member? Join to day! (http://lehighvalleycanoeclub.org/memberships)
