Preventing injuries and strength training are important in any sport. Join John E. Graham from St. Luke’s University Hospital as he helps us learn about common paddling injuries and how we can minimize our risks of getting hurt through strength training and proper form.
John Graham is the Senior Network Administrator in Network Development at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. John has served as an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey, DeSales University and currently Cedar Crest College. He presently serves as an associate editor for the National Strength and Conditioning Association Strength & Conditioning Journal. He is a Fellow of the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach & American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist.
John has authored or contributed to local, regional and national peer reviewed and lay publications on chronic disease & disability management, health, fitness and sports conditioning. He has given local, regional, national and international presentations on chronic disease & disability management, health, fitness and sports conditioning. He coordinates; designs and implements exercise prescriptions for athletes, fitness, and chronic diseased and disabled populations.
John has been recognized in 2019 as the Morning Call Readers’ Choice Award Winner for Personal Fitness Trainer. He was awarded the National Strength and Conditioning Association Strength & Conditioning Journal Editorial Excellence Award in 2000. John has been recognized by the American Council on Exercise, Medical Fitness Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal, Pennsylvania State Senate, Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Hamot Health Systems for his contributions to fitness and sports performance.
