Webmaster’s Report
Dan Rempp reported website was down January 1st and 2nd.
At end of year the following statistics:
In 2020 YTD 9,310 and unique users for 28.365 visits
In 2021 YTD 4,250 and 11,555 visits Most of the drop in June to July in 2022.
Usage in January 2022 is so far back up to normal use.
Education Report
Scott reported : In November we had two activities on the Tohickon. One class with 7 and another with 5.
Education committee met on November 12th 6:00pm at Braveheart at Hellertown. The year in Education and plans for the future were discussed. Add later in minutes??
2021 Annual Report
The annual report was presented and reviewed.

2022 Education Plan and Budget Request
Pool sessions and moving water classes discussed.
Recreational kayak class will be taught over 3 days at Leaser Lake.
Open water kayaking classroom will be done on Zoom. The water part will be on Raritan Bay
Rolling classes have started today in the pool sessions
A summary of the classes are as follows:
First Aid/CPR certification renewals.There should be a class in March and one in April
Wilderness First Aid classes were discussed. This is fun weekend class and is good for Advanced coastal or Whitewater instructors.
Open water rescue class. Dave and Cie to teach the two 8 hour session
Open Water Navigation will have 2 classes on Raritan Bay by Dave
Stroke clinics on Nockamixon and one on Beltzville by Dan and Linda.
Rescue classes on Nockamixon and one on Beltzville by Dan and Linda.
Moving Water Intermediate Series will be 4 to 5 classes on different rivers. Instructors are Scott, Eric and Josh to instruct – and hopefully others.
Moving Water Guide classes tentatively offered in May. Led by Scott. Hope to get more interest in this class.
Open Water Guide class. Some discussion on what is needed for this class.
Rescue Rodeo for Moving Water. This would be a promising idea.
Instructor Certification. A 3 day L1/L2 Instructor Certification Workshop. This would be limited to club members who intend to lead club trips.

Executive Committee Zoom Meeting of December 14th 2021
The following are the minutes from the Executive Committee Zoom Meeting of December 14th 2021.
Present: Dan Morton, Rachel Connolly, Rita Snyder, Mike Swartley, Gery Kirkner, Pat Beltz, Jill Evans, Dave Dawson.
Motion#1
Motion made for the board to approve the expenditure of club funds to purchase the following items:
1. 1 Craftsman wet/dry shop vac 39.98 plus one spare filters (maybe $20)
2. 2 5-gallon plastic buckets 4.98 each
3. 2 cellulose sponges 3.98 each
4. 1 60 pack 3 ply face masks 8.62
5. 250 Rodale Covid waivers 7.25
6. 100 LVKCC waivers/applications 3.90
Total about $100 +tax

Dan Morton said he would donate a roll of paper towels. Others will loan extension cords.

In appreciation for all the work instructors, boat inspectors, and pool assistants do, I move that the LVKCC give each volunteer:

The show of appreciation to the volunteers by gift card is tabled at this meeting. Dan Morton will research.
Discussed the Motion to show appreciation for the volunteers with pizza and non-alcoholic drinks. Decided instead to consider a pizza party after the last pool session. Tabled to discuss at the January Executive Meeting. Also to put up for a vote at the February meeting for approval of the membership..
Club Boat Sale
Two club boats were sold for $300.
Larry March Slalom
Need a chairperson for 2022 Slalom. Dan Rempp has offered to provide advice.
Holiday Party
Our Holiday Party was held at the East Bath Rod and Gun Club and was well-attended with 66 attendees! Paddlers of the Year awards for 2019 were awarded to
Cie Stroud and Charlie Locket.
All agreed it was a great event all around.
Future Paddler of the Year
The prior maker of the plaques has left the area. Need to restart this award. Nominations for 2021 Paddler of the Year are to be submitted by March 15, 2022. Dave Dawson”volunteered” to make the awards.
February 3rd and March 3rd 2022 meetings
These will be at the Wildlands Conservancy. MASKS MUST BE WORN.
New Business
Pool Update
Pool day 1 Review by Dan Rempp: 8 students in the pool. 3 students for roll clinics. There were two new memberships.
Will need to have about 5 walk-ins per session to come out ahead. Averaged 14 per session in 2020.

Budget Review and Approval 2021
Review of 2021 Budget vs. Actuals (high-level)
2021 saw increases in insurance, PayPal, paying larger share of members’ meal at Holiday Party, appreciation for instructors via dinner.
ACA Insurance Resolution
A discussion was held regarding ACA Insurance does not cover the Sugar Island (on the St. Lawrence River) unless the individual members are also members of ACA. This issue is tabled until resolved.

Budget spreadsheet was discussed and reviewed section by section as shown below:

Dan Morton is appointing a committee to find a place for club boats. Gery, Mike, Linda and Skip volunteered.

Policy Committee
Continuing work on Instructors and Trip Leader criteria. Most is done. Policy for trip leaders unresolved. Committee includes Dave as chairperson, Dan Morton, Rita Snyder, Pat Beltz, Sheldon Linn, and Scott Douglas.
Spring and Fall Trips
Dave Dawson: Spring Trip will be to Pohick Bay in the Washington DC area from 22 to 25 April 2022. An email was sent out to members and posted on Meetup. Already 25+ signed up!
Trip Committee members include Dave, Pat, Linda, Shel and Cie.
Will announce Fall trip in the Spring.
Hope to get a summer trip to Sugar Island which on the St. Lawrence River.
Program Committee
Gery Kirkner and Dave Dawson reported the speaker for the At the February meeting Pat Beltz and JC will speak on their Key West trip. March 3rd meeting Scott and Pat are to show pictures of their Galapagos trip.
Working on an October speaker.
Hospitality Committee
Need someone to run the icebreaker and Holiday Parties
Need a chairperson. Bob Brunda and Rita Snyder are current members. We are seeking additional members.
