Pat Beltz called the executive committee meeting to order at 6:05 pm.
The purpose of the meeting was to design a set of protocols for club sanctioned trips during Covid-19.
LVKCC PROTOCOLS FOR CLUB SANCTIONED TRIPS | ||||||||||
This list of Protocols must be followed by anyone running a LVKCC Trip | ||||||||||
Masks must be worn anytime you are on land. Any kind of boating, Lake or Whitewater or
Sea Kayaking. |

At Lunch breaks, when not eating, Mask must be worn | ||||||||||
Masks must be worn during shuttling | ||||||||||
Maximum of 4 people to a vehicle, preferably fewer. | ||||||||||
When shuttling, keep windows open. | ||||||||||
Instructors: | ||||||||||
Strongly Recommended to Wear the Following: | ||||||||||
Neck Gaitor – to be pulled up when needing to rescue someone or as needed | ||||||||||
Sunglasses or some type of goggle to protect your eyes | ||||||||||
Instructors must have hand sanitizing bottles available on the trip. | ||||||||||
Instructor to Student Ratio – 1 to 5 max. | ||||||||||
Support boaters need to be able to instruct as needed to handle smaller groups | ||||||||||
Instructors must have current First Aid/CPR certification | ||||||||||
COVID Questions to be Asked PRIOR to the TRIP – TO BE REVIEWED | ||||||||||
Have you been exposed to someone who they know has COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks? | ||||||||||
Are you currently in isolation/quarantine? | ||||||||||
Do you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19? | ||||||||||
Are you at risk if you contract COVID-19? | ||||||||||
Not Accepting any last minute membership signups on the day of the paddle | ||||||||||
Must be a member in good standing with the online membership being completed. | ||||||||||
Membership form is in the mail, does not cut it. | ||||||||||
Membership needs to be validated by the Membership Secretary or List of Members on line. | ||||||||||
Current instructors will meet to review the new protocols before club trips resume.
Based on current protocols set in place by the club, a motion was made to resume club sanctioned events.

Membership waivers
Membership waivers have been updated to include possible exposure to various infectious diseases, including MRSA, Influenza, and Covid-19 as risks associated with paddling.
Education Report
The Beginners series is scheduled to resume this month. A lake location for the three missed pool sessions will be determined shortly. Lake Nockamixon requires a Letter of Authorization for club events. Approval of events can take some time and the dates are not flexible once chosen.
Events
Swap Meet
The Alllentown park system is not currently issuing permits for events.
A motion was made to cancel the swap meet for 2020.

Larry March Slalom
The Larry March Slalom is currently on hold until permits are issued. The Penn Cup organizers will be contacted to see if the series is being held this year. The park will be contacted to see if the slalom race is even a possibility for this year.
Guide Class
Scott Douglas will lead a guide class in late June. The class is designed to prepare members to lead club-sponsored trips.
Allagash Trip 2021
Scott Douglas is planning a weeklong canoe camping trip in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway during the summer of 2021.

Any member that feels a new committee should be formed can contact any member of the executive board. It will be discussed at the next club meeting.
