Sandy Cove

Our fall weekend will take everyone to the northern end of the Chesapeake Bay. We’ll be staying at the Sandy Cove resort in North East , Maryland. This is a beautiful facility with great accommodations, with options to camp, stay in a cabin, or check into a private room in the main lodge.
The resort is closer to the Lehigh Valley than our usual weekend getaways, so it will be an easy drive for most. The area offers some really nice paddling, and most trips will depart from the Sandy Cove beach.
As always, there will be trips planned for paddlers of all skill levels, from rec boating in quiet waters to paddles across the wide open Susquehanna flats. We’ll also offer some kayak games for anyone who wants to play some dodgeball, test their paddling skills or get involved in other on-water merriment.
We have the 14-site Pioneer campground set aside for us, there are cabins groups of up to eight can share, plus rooms in the main lodge. The campsites have trailer hookups. As part of the package price, we will all get a dinner in the dining hall each evening. Those who stay in the lodge will also get breakfast. Here are the rates. Please note that the costs are per person, per night – and the fees vary depending on how many people are on a campsite or in a cottage or room. Once you make a reservation and the exact cost is established (the fee goes down as more people share a unit) we will send out invoices. We will not be able to make refunds, but reservations can be transferred to another paddler.
