Lafayette College Weinstein Natatorium. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Everyone must be out of the building by 8 PM. You must be a member of the LVKCC to attend. No children under 13. Helmets, and PFDs are required. Clean your boats inside and out. Remove float bags and all gear. Boats will be inspected before they go in to the pool. Showers and locker rooms are available. Fee is $15 cash or check no credit cards

Equipment needed: white water kayak, paddle, PFD, spray skirt, and helmet.

Cost: $200

This multi-week pool class is designed for anyone who wishes to learn to kayak on rivers from Class I to Class III.

The course is held on weekends starting in January.

Each session is four hours divided equally between classroom and the pool.

No previous experience is necessary.

The club has some loaner equipment for students who need it.

Topics such as boat types, gear, clothing, paddle strokes, river features, knots, river safety, fitness, edging, bracing, assisted and self rescues, and rolling will be covered.??The class is intended to be followed by our Beginners Series of river trips, where students will paddle progressively more difficult sections of the Lehigh River.

You are invited to join your fellow paddlers for our annual trip planning potluck dinner on April April 11, 2026 at the East Bath Rod and Gun Club. Festivities will start at 5PM with happy hour. Bring your favorite beverage of choice! At 6 PM we will sample the culinary masterpieces brought by everyone to celebrate the opening of the paddling season for 2026. Also bring your trip planning ideas to share with everyone. There will be cool door prizes. If your last name begins with A to M consider bringing a salad, side dish, or dessert that will feed 6 or more people. If your last name begins with N to Z consider bringing a main dish the will feed 6 or more. Guests are welcome!

Welcome to two days of learning boat and water safety, skills for kayakers such as paddle strokes, what kind of clothing to wear, types of kayaks, paddles etc. Great place to meet new friends to paddle with, trips for your future enjoyment and all taught by ACA trained leaders. You will be surprised by all you will learn!! There will also be a day trip on the water to finish the class on an easy river. Please reach out to me with questions. Cost for all three days is $60.00 total. All participants must be a club member - $20.00 a year to join.
